As our Short Pants 1st Birthday is coming up TODAY, we thought we’d wet your whistle with a couple of interviews with the DJs who are playing tonight.
First up is TAMRA, an incredibly talented DJ from Jamaica. As part of the amazingly-named DJ unit Hello Kl!tty, Tamra has been lighting up Tokyo’s dancefloors for a few years. As a solo DJ, she’s just as good, pumping out banger after banger with flawless mixing.
What was the highlight of 2010 for you?
2010? That year was all a blur, lost my virginity maybe?
Who is your favorite musician of all time?
Fav of all time? That’s difficult… Ah, Aaliyah! Love her always, gone too soon.
What is the last thing you bought?
The last thing I bought was… fags, maybe. I don’t shop as often as you’d think.
What is the last song you listened to?
That Beep – Architecture in Helsinki (I have that on loop, it’s sickening)

Baby Got Back – Sir Mix A Lot (I shred that at Karaoke)
Who is the coolest guy AND the coolest girl on the Tokyo party scene at the moment?
Wellll, I can only think of Jonte’, he’s ferocious!

I never leave home without my headphones. I go nuts without listening to music while I move around. I mean, like I’d wanna cut a bitch hahahaha
