As our huge SHORT PANTS PARTY 2.0 gets even closer, we’ve been working hard to introduce you to all of the artists that are playing this time.
One of our headline DJs, DJ Momoko, myspace.com/djmomoko is flying all the way from Nagasaki just to play SPP2.0! This year Momoko has released her awesome mix CD and has played at huge parties
such as WIRE Festival and other hot parties all over Japan. It’s an honour to have one of Japan’s top female DJs play our party.
Before her trip, we had a quick chat with her to see what makes her tick…
1- What is going to be big this year?
A job shortage is going to be big.
2- Who are your favorite musicians of all time?
Local No Wave heroes, Riot Girrls, Acid House fathers and Primal Scream.
3- Where is your favorite place in Tokyo?
Shibuya, where I met most of my friends for the first time.
4- What are your favorite fashion brands or styles?
American trad look.
5- What is the last thing you bought?
Used YSL pilot cap.
6- What is the last song you listened to?
Crime – Rhythm Graffiti (The Pleasure Zone)
7- Who are the coolest people in Tokyo at the moment?
I don’t know much about Tokyo. Maybe people there all think that they
are the coolest.
8- Please recommend a new artist.
I’m not sensitive enough to talk about new things.
