The Most Ambitious Onitsuka Tiger Advertising Campaign To Date
Following the success of their three previous award winning campaigns, creative agency Amsterdam once again has fused the traditions of Japanese craftsmanship with contemporary styling for Onitsuka Tiger.
This years campaign displays a traditionally made Japanese tansu cabinet in the shape of a sneaker. Niigata-based tansu masters, ogura tansu ten were commissioned to built the sneaker using 200-year old techniques. The cabinet is finished with ornate ironwork and a lacquer finish, in addition the cabinet holds a series of secret compartments which can be accessed if they are unlocked in a specific sequence.
