1h + 7h + 1h = 9h
Capsule hotels aren’t best known for their panache or style however, that look’s like it is set to change with the opening of ’9 Hours’ in Kyoto.
The basic concept of the hotel relies on the theory that each individual needs and hour to shower, an hour to rest and 7 hours snooze, that’s all well and true but the minimal and simplistic design of this capsule hotel clearly propels 9h into a different league of solitary confinement. Not only is the hotel designed to be easy to navigate by it’s guests with floor markings clearly showing folks where to go, but it is also designed with male and female segregation in mind – There are separate sleeping and washing areas for each there are even separate elevators. The capsules themselves are one piece moulded white plastic with white linen with built in ambient alarm clocks to wake you up without disturbing any of the other guests and the cost of this luxury hotel… prices start from ¥4,900. We suggest you make a reservation for your next trip to Kyoto.
