Communication as we know it = Washout. The Wave is upon us!
Google Wave has been making rather a lot of a buzz on the interweb for a while now, if you haven’t heard then it’s nothing special… I mean it’s probably only going to revolutionize the way we communicate!
OK so what the hell is it I hear you cry, well imagine instant email/chat type conversations with multiple contacts, live character by character updating – so you can see what everyone is typing before they finish, add to that the fact that any number of users can edit the same conversation in different places simultaneously alongside the seamless integration of ‘waves’ into blogs and websites and the fact that media such as pictures and video can be uploaded and shared instantly and you have got yourself one hell of a powerful ‘chat client’. Oh yeah, did I mention that this whole baby runs through your existing web browser, is infinitely upgradeable with countless apps from developers and it’s free! How do I get this I hear you cry, well for the time being it’s still at the testing stage with only a handful of select users having access. You can apply for an account form Google Wave or watch the long Google Wave Video.
